INTERNAL QUIET – The band was formed in Aleksandrów Łódzki by composer and guitarist Sławomir Papis and bassist Andrzej Kostrzewa, beginning their activity in May 2011.
Initially, the group started as a studio project with a heavy metal flavor, focusing on musical originality and writing concept-based lyrics. Ultimately, however, the band performed with a lead vocalist and musically moved towards heavier sounds.
The first vocalist was Dominik Zurovac, the author of most lyrics on the debut album. He played several important gigs with Internal Quiet, including at Summer Dying Loud. From 2011 to 2013, the second guitarist was Bronek Grzywacz, and the drums were handled by Paweł ‘Pawson’ Krasiński.

Internal Quiet 2012–2014
After several lineup changes, in 2015 the current lineup solidified – a fusion of experience and skills of six local musicians: Sławomir Papis (lead guitar), Mateusz Stołowski (bass guitar), Dawid Roźniakowski (keyboards), Dominik Kalisz (rhythm guitar), drummer Radosław Jarzyna, and vocalist and frontman Maciej “Rocker” Wróblewski.
Internal Quiet 2015
Following a series of successful club and festival concerts in Poland (including ‘Summer Dying Out Loud,’ ‘Książ Rock Zone,’ ‘Festiwal Pomieszajmy Języki,’ and alongside top representatives of the Polish rock-metal scene), early 2016 saw the band enter the studio to record material. The end result, the album ‘When The Rain Comes Down,’ refers directly to the golden age of metal music, its classic and substantial guitar riffs, and a somewhat progressive character throughout.

The band’s debut album, ‘When The Rain Comes Down,’ is the sonic culmination of several years of Internal Quiet’s work. The album was officially released on August 20, 2016, as an exclusive ‘private pressing’ edition in a slipcase format. Its premiere coincided with the band’s first, 40-date national tour as special guests of the band TURBO under the ‘Back To The Past Tour’ banner.
The year 2017 was devoted to promoting the album, countless interviews, and visits to radio stations, which led to “When The Rain Comes Down” being named “Album of the Week” and “Album of the Month” in several of them.
In September, keyboardist Dawid Roźniakowski and drummer Radosław Jarzyna left the band. The group chose not to bring in a new keyboardist, and from October 2017 Paweł Lachowicz took over on drums.

2018 marked another major concert tour.
While working on their second album, longtime guitarist Dominik Kalisz left the band. Dominik had played two tours with Internal Quiet: 2016/2017’s ‘Back To The Past Tour’ and 2018/2019’s ‘When the Rain Comes Down Tour,’ for a total of about 90 concerts.

The first album also features Dominik’s significant contribution to rhythm guitar recordings. The sound of Internal Quiet’s ‘When The Rain Comes Down’ owes much to his involvement.
In 2024, Paweł Lachowicz, who played with the band during the 2017/2019 tours, departed.
Musical Style & Inspirations
INTERNAL QUIET presents intriguing music at the intersection of hard rock, classic metal, and melodic rock/AOR with an addition of progressive rock, characterized by dense guitar sounds and a solid rhythm section. The band draws inspiration and energy from both the American and European traditions of hard ‘n’ heavy, progressive, and power metal.
The new material, however, brings much heavier sounds, more guitars enriched with keyboards, and two vocalists—a significant innovation and challenge for the band. Unconventional lyrics and two powerful voices provide the group with additional arrangement possibilities.
In October, Dominik Zurovac rejoined the band. The rhythm section was strengthened by a young, highly talented musician with whom the group immediately ‘clicked’: Mikołaj Rychlewski. The band’s new guitarist became Marek Stanisz.

On July 5, 2025, during the Antoniów Rock Fest, the premiere of Internal Quiet’s new recordings took place. The band played in its new lineup and surprised many fans with Polish-language lyrics. This was met with an enthusiastic response from the audience.
